GATE Paper Wise PSU Recruitment 2024 – Various Public sector undertaking (PSUs) start recruitment through Graduate aptitude test in engineering (GATE) mainly from 2014. It’s four years now, Since PSUs are using GATE score as a primary key element for recruiting engineer trainee or graduate engineers.

In 2015 there were more than 10 PSUs which have used GATE score for their recruitment process. In 2016 there are more than 20 PSUs which will use GATE score for their recruitment process.

In 2017 there were more than 25 PSUs which will use GATE score for their recruitment process. In 2018 there were more than 30 PSUs which will use GATE score for their recruitment process.

In 2023 there ware more than 30 PSUs which will use GATE score for their recruitment process. These PSUs may recruit for any of the branch of engineering, technology or science as per their requirement. Number of vacancy may also vary as per their requirement.

Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) across India accept applications from candidates who have qualified for GATE 2024. Candidates who have cleared the exam can apply for PSU recruitment through GATE 2024 to recruit engineers for executive posts.

Major PSUs that recruit through GATE are IOCL, NTPC, BPCL, SAIL, DRDO, GAIL, SAIL, ONGC, and HPCL. PSU Stands for Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) or Public Sector Enterprise.

PSUs are those companies wholly or partially owned by the Government of India or one of the states or territorial governments.

2. List of Prominent PSUs

Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) are government-owned companies that recruit candidates based on their GATE score.

Some PSUs only consider GATE scores, while others shortlist candidates based on their GATE score and then conduct an entrance exam and personal interview. Some PSUs that recruit through GATE include IOCL, NTPC, BPCL, SAIL, DRDO, GAIL, POSOCO, HPCL, CIL, BHEL.

    I have done M.Sc.Statistics. I am planning to appear for GATE exam. Which paper am i eligible for? Since i can see there is no seperate paper for statistics. What are the possible JOB oppurtunities? What will be the nature of the JOB? will it be completely statistical? What are the PSUs that recruit Statisticians? Can you give me a clear idea on how should i proceed.

      You can choose Mathematics paper for GATE exam.
      or you can choose statistics paper for JAM exam.
      Both will give you opportunity to study in IITs.
      PSUs opportunity for Mathematics or Statistics are very less or nil.

      Please check all the notifications of NTPC & Other PSUs.
      Some govt & PSUs notified vacancies for environmental engineering jobs. You please check their websites.
      No any company notified vacancies for environmental engineering on regular basis. So you have to check all notification without any fail.

      There are very less PSUs / Govt organizations which recruit on the basis of GATE score for Aerospace engineering.
      First you must search all the options available for Aerospace engineers then take any final decision.

    In 2009 .nd was preparing for UPSC .nd now I am 33 years can i appear in GATE nd on the basis of score do i have better career in pSUs or other sector if u can suggest me.or if i should appear in GATE exam then which branch should i appear life science or ecology else chemistry

    I have last year score 616 in PI. So what will be my score this year for admission?

      You last year score value totally depends upon this year result which in turn depends upon number of candidates appeared and difficulty level of GATE paper of this year.

    • Hello Adarsh,

      Cut off depends upon many factors like number of candidates appear in GATE exam, difficulty level of GATE paper, number of seats in each PSUs. You can get some idea from previous years cut-offs but you can’t get some certain cut-offs. I hope you are understanding.

      It completely depends upon BHEL recruitment notification.
      If they allow then you are eligible if not then you are not.
      Just check education qualification section of any recruitment notification.
