GATE Exam Centers – 2023 – Here in the below list we are providing zone-wise list of cities in which GATE 2023 would be held. Candidates may check their nearest exam city which they will fill as first choice while filled GATE 2023 application form.
GATE office put 4 option to choose by candidates as their exam cities for GATE 2023. There would be two primary choices and two secondary choice.
Most probably most of the candidates will get their first choice for GATE 2023 exam. Rest 3 options would be applicable if a candidate didn’t get his first choice but mostly candidates get their first choice of exam city.
Here in the below table the tentative list of the cities (zone-wise) in which GATE 2023 will be held is given. Zonal Offices (one of the IITs or IISc.) are also listed corresponding to their exam centers.
The zonal office dealing with your application will be your point of contact for any inquiries regarding your examination center and other matters. So candidates who are facing any kind of problem related to GATE 2023 examination may contact to their zonal GATE office.

GATE exam was held at 219 centres approx.
How many exam centres can be selected by a candidate for GATE 2023 ?
A candidate can choose THREE cities from the list of examination cities given above. All the three choices must be from the same GATE 2023 zone.
Will calculator be allowed during the GATE 2023 examination?
No, You will not get permission to enter the exam hall with physical calculator. During the GATE 2023 exam, you need to use the GATE virtual calculator only.
Will I get a scribble pad during the GATE 2023 exam?
Yes, the GATE 2023 exam centers will provide a scribble pad before starting the examination.

Eligibility criteria to appear for GATE 2023 is relaxed from the minimum 10+2+4 (ongoing) to minimum 10+2+3 (ongoing), enabling even those in the third year of their undergraduate studies to appear for the GATE 2023 examination.

IISc, Bangalore is the conducting authority for GATE Exam 2024.
Will GATE 2023 be conducted outside India?
